Keep Your Fingers Crossed!

DSCF2068-MThe start of another great white shark season in California is just around the corner.  Our first trip is slated for Saturday, October 1st. If you’d like to join us this season, give us a call at 800-644-7382.

California is currently the only place in the world where white shark tour operators are prohibited from using bait as a scent attractant.  We hope to change this.  We have applied to NOAA for permission to use bait as a scent attractant and should have a response to our request soon. (Shark tour operators ARE permitted to use decoys.)  Data confirms that bait, used as a scent attractant, is more effective than a decoy and we want to provide our customers with the best possible opportunity for a sighting.

Recently-published research studies support our request, so keep your fingers crossed that Superintendent Maria Brown makes the right decision.

About Jane

Twenty-four years ago, I took a job that changed my life. I signed on as one of the first employees of a new company selling MiG fighter jet flights in Russia. Now, I'm considered something of an Adventure Goddess. I've written a book about adventure and have flown a fighter jet, floated in zero-g and a whole lot more. Life is either an incredible adventure or nothing at all, right?
