cagediver.com shark dives in San FranciscoOn January 9, 2023, the government of Mexico passed legislation prohibiting tourism, diving, fishing and video production within the Guadalupe Biosphere.  This is the marine park where great white shark dives have been offered for years.   There is hope the Mexican government will allow shark diving again in the future, but at the moment, trips cannot be offered.

Those planning to shark dive at Isla Guadalupe are encouraged to schedule a one-day cage diving adventure to San Francisco’s Farallon Islands.  While the water visibility at the Farallones is not as good as it was in Mexico, the sharks at the Farallones are known to be among the biggest in the world.
